Together we raised over £40,000 for the Anabah Maternity Centre in Afghanistan.

From 3-10 December 2024, EMERGENCY UK took part in the annual Big Give matching campaign. Thanks to generous match funding from our partners Crosta & Mollica and from the Reed Foundation together we have raised £40,130 for women and newborns at the Anabah Maternity Centre in Afghanistan – surpassing our target of £40,000!

EMERGENCY’s facility is a haven for mothers in the Panjshir valley and surrounding areas, many of whom would otherwise struggle to access antenatal and birthing care. Since 2003, our dedicated team of Afghan midwives and nurses have safely delivered over 80,000 babies and conducted more than half a million outpatient consultations for women.

With your many generous donations over the last week, we can continue to support this essential facility and provide free healthcare to women and children in need, every day.
