‘From the Sea to the City’ Campaign: EMERGENCY is Joining Forces.

On #WorldRefugeeDay, we are glad to announce that EMERGENCY is joining forces with a network of partners across Europe as part of ‘From the Sea to the City’. This campaign, involving sea rescue organisations and civil society, aims to create awareness and demand a new human rights-based migration and refugee policy.

The ongoing crisis in the Mediterranean Sea is testament to the brutality of Europe’s current policies.

We now demand a sea change in the approach towards migrants and refugees. 

United, we come together on World Refugee Day to put forward concrete and far-reaching demands in order to change the attitude towards migration in Europe.  

On this day, and from now on, we call upon Europe to be faithful to respecting the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
