Afghanistan: “Don’t Give Up”

Nadim is at the Kabul Surgical Centre, accompanied by his father. One day, when he was walking home after a day working in the fields, a mine exploded and he lost two limbs.

“I hope the doctors will provide him with prostheses and life will be normal again,” says his father. “I always repeat to him: ‘Don’t give up. I want him to be strong. He does not have an arm and a leg. But I am here for him.”

We will never give up. EMERGENCY exists to heal the wounds created by this senseless war.
