EMERGENCY continues to deliver free, high-quality care in the midst of war.
We Stand With the Sudanese People
Sudan is going through a moment of instability.
Luca Rolla, EMERGENCY’s Country Director, sent a message from the Salam Centre for Cardiac Surgery in Khartoum to give an update on how we are ensuring continuity of our healthcare support in EMERGENCY’s four facilities across the country.
The Salam Centre continues to guarantee medical and surgical care for all admitted patients.
The Mayo Paediatric Centre re-opened today, and 40 children and 15 pregnant women received immediate treatment.
The Paediatric Centres in Nyala and Port Sudan are fully operative as usual, and continue to offer healthcare services to patients. The number of beds in these centres has increased due to many more people relying on our paediatric assistance, as some governmental healthcare facilities are currently closed or operating at a reduced capacity.
During this difficult time, we stand with the Sudanese people, doing our best to respond to their medical needs and continue providing free, high-quality healthcare.
