Rapid Swab Testing Service for the Most Vulnerable People

Since this morning, we are active with a rapid swab testing service for the most vulnerable people in the Polistena area of Calabria, Italy.

At a drive-in tent set up for the purpose, EMERGENCY will provide one doctor and one nurse. The project is run in collaboration with the local Municipality: this is how our support in the area continues, dating back to 2013 when we opened an Outpatient Clinic.

“We want to replicate the model of care that we put into practice every day in our outpatient clinic,” explains Mauro, the clinic’s Coordinator. “This is an extra service, which makes us proud of the commitment we dedicate every day to vulnerable people in in Calabria. Being there for the most vulnerable people, who can’t afford treatment, or in this case have a swab test, is needed now more than ever’.
