EMERGENCY continues to deliver free, high-quality care in the midst of war.
25 Years of EMERGENCY: Every Patient is a Priority
Every patient is a priority.
Over the past 25 years, we’ve treated children and adults, from Afghanistan to Zambia and everywhere in between. Some who had lost limbs, others in need of heart surgery, and many who had conditions that would have been easily treatable if not for the destruction wrought by war.
Sometimes our patients respond with a smile – sometimes with quiet, dignified determination. Every single one is deserving of dignity, respect and high-quality treatment. With every consultation, cardiac surgery, and prosthetic limb, we strive to protect the human right to healthcare, a right we will always fight for, one patient at a time.
