London Volunteers Donate Books in Solidarity with Migrants
EMERGENCY’s Outpatient Clinic in Polistena, Italy, provides free healthcare to migrant and refugee workers suffering from illnesses deriving from the harsh living and working conditions they are forced into.
Our staff at the clinic asked us if we had any English language books for the patients, most of whom live in makeshift camps. So our wonderful London volunteers put together boxes of books and sent them to the clinic.
They were delivered this morning: look how happy our staff are! There are many ways to support EMERGENCY and to show solidarity with migrants and refugees, and this is is one of them. Thank you to everyone who donated their books!
